PESCAPUERTA PARTICIPATES IN THE SECOND EDITION OF FISHING ACCELERATOR

For the second year in a row and following the success achieved in the last edition, we are once again participating in the Fishing Accelerator project, which aims to capture cutting-edge technology worldwide to be applied in the fishing sector. Japan, Philippines, Germany, Iceland, China, United States and Belgium are some of the countries that have been visited in the search for sustainable economic alternatives to approaches related to energy efficiency, navigation, fishing gear and the improvement of the quality of the products and productive processes.

As the main driving force of the accelerator from the outset, in Pescapuerta we will carry on—with the same enthusiasm as always—seeking innovative solutions that can help us be more efficient in any stages of our activity. This is the result of our own experience with the startups that were selected last year, and with which we are achieving very positive results.

Lasting a year, the programme has three phases, which begin with the corporate partners defining needs, continue with identifying technology and selecting the startups. The final phase is the launch of the pilot projects to test the solutions in the real market and their presentation before the public in the Tech Show, which will take place in in Coxemar in October, like the first edition.

The Opening Day will be held previously, in May. In this event we, the selected startups, will introduce ourselves and we will establish a work schedule, defining an action plan to develop the private pilot project.
