Once again, Pescapuerta was present at the 19th edition of the International Frozen Seafood Products Exhibition (Conxemar), which was held in Vigo on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of October. It was a unique opportunity to meet up with many of our providers, receive visits from some of our clients and learn about new products and market trends, among other things.
In this edition of the exhibition, a total of 611 stands took part, with a recorded number of 31,370 visitors from 104 countries. This represents an increase of 4.5% compared to 2016. These are very encouraging results that show Conxemar’s important international resonance, in addition to the good health of the Frozen Seafood Products sector, which in Spain reached a figure of 9,137 million euros in 2015 and employs more than 17,600 people.
This year we used a new stand, designed to be more spacious and open for visitors, with a floor surface of 100 square metres and double height. The four companies that make up the commercial activity of the holding—Elmar Frozen Food, Loligo Seafood, Fortitude Fishing and Pescapuerta Trade—were represented at the stand.
The purpose of this stand was to create a strong visual impact. To do so, materials and finishes in keeping with industrial aesthetics were used, such as, for example, a metallic framework, which provides robustness, or wood, which helps to create a welcoming atmosphere.
