Interview with Teo de las Llanderas, HR Director in Pescapuerta, in the magazine Equipos&Talento

The magazine Equipos&Talento published a full interview last March with our HR Director, Teo de las Llanderas, titled “Trabajamos para mejorar los flujos de comunicación con el cliente interno allí donde esté" (We are working towards improving communication flow with internal customers, wherever they are). In it you can learn first-hand about how human resources are managed from one of the leading companies in the production and marketing of seafood products in Spain.

In the interview, Teo de las Llanderas explains the holding’s philosophy of making the staff, nearly 500 people, feel integrated and satisfied working in the company which, as he states, “is characterised by the compliance of very solid bases of labour relations in all fields”. And all of this taking into account the duality of managing land personnel (central services and business delegations) and on-board personnel (fishing-vessel crew), and because of the characteristics of the latter, a great deal of expertise is required.

Accordingly, it should also be highlighted how attractive our company is when it comes to looking for a job. As Teo claims, “one of the factors we most like to boast about is our extremely low turnover rate, thanks to our good worker-company relationship and important personal development. Nevertheless, this is not the finishing line; it is our journey, what we are constantly striving for.”

Currently, Teo is leading a team of five people and, after nearly twenty years in Pescapuerta, he has witnessed the continuous change and development the company has undergone, knowing how to adapt to the different management models our sector requires.
